Who Are The Kansas City KNIGHTS?

The KC Knight's Youth Sports is a volunteer organization dedicated to serving the inner-city kids through sports such as Football, Cheer, T-Ball, and Basketball. We believe in teaching the youth through being positive role models with emphasis on learning, playing and enjoying the sport while instilling high moral standards.

Improving Our Children's Future's

KC Knights values the importance of academic achievement and community involvement. If we teach them positive lessons, such as playing by the rules, our young athletes will learn to live by the rules. KC Knights believe that fostering confidence and a sense of self-worth in players will extend beyond the gridiron and into the school, household, and community.

Coach Jesse been with KC Knights since we started in 2015. Football has been a big part of his life from the time he was 10 years old, coach Jesse played youth football, Jr. High School football and High School Football.

Coach Jesse believes, coaching these young men is one of the most rewarding things that he can do. It is a great honor and responsibility that he do not take for granted. His coaching style focuses on the fundamentals of blocking and tackling, because that is the basis for developing a successful team and player. He truly believes and know that football has helped him to succeed in other areas of his life.

Founder of KC knights

Joseph Hathaway II

I grew up in KCMO and have been coaching for over 7 years.  Christ is 1st in my life then family and Knights.  I've been happily married for 6 years with 3 wonderful kids.

During my freshman year at Central High School is when I came to love football and was very naturally gifted in the sport.  While attending Central I participated and excelled at football, swimming, track and baseball.  My senior year of high school I was voted “Most Valuable Defensive Player” for football, leading my team with 160 tackles also achieving “Most Valuable Swimmer” while placing at state.  After graduation I attended Lincoln University where I was apart of the Blue Tiger football.

I believe God's purpose for me is to mentor, and guide our youth in the right direction through athletics.  I also believe and desire that all our youth athletes come to understand that academics is just as important as athletics so, KC Knights is building STUDENT athletes.

I believe as well as all KC Knights coaches and staffs belief is, to determine how successful we are in our program is in the accomplishment of what STUDENT athletes are doing in years to come.

I look forward in coaching your young athletes.
